You can smell tobacco when you push the door because their restaurant in 1F and lounge bar in basement. Their decoration looks like a pub but the menu is a FUSION of several different styles of food. We ordered salad with sirloin, spaghetti with clams and chicken, and dessert.
That dessert is an impressive combination which is hot dark chocolate muffin with vanilla ice cream. When ice cream melt in the bitter muffin, it tasted like hot chocolate milk. Black and white, bitter and sweet no matter color or flavor are very lovely.

In general, we eat "meat rice tamales" to celebrate Taiwan Dragon Boat Festival (5/5 lunar month).
What is Tamales?
It's a Mexican food. Tamales begin with a dough made from corn, called masa, and are wrapped in corn husks. In Taiwan, we use sticky rice to instead of masa and are wrapped in bamboo leaves. And then typically steamed them until firm.
Tamales are a favorite comfort food in Taiwan. Street vendors can serve tamales not only in Dragon boat festival but everyday. Usually, they serve 2 flavors, one is with meat, salty egg yolk, and mushrooms and the other one is with peanuts for vegetarians.
